Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency about how SkinChecker earns revenue and what that means for you.

Last updated: 31 March 2026

In short: Some links on SkinChecker are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the site running and free to use.

How affiliate links work

SkinChecker is a free price comparison and ingredient analysis service. To keep the site running, we participate in affiliate programmes with UK retailers. When you click a link to a retailer on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from that sale.

This commission comes from the retailer, not from you. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer's website.

Our affiliate partners

We work with a number of UK retailers through affiliate networks including Awin. Our retail partners include (but are not limited to):

  • LOOKFANTASTIC
  • Boots
  • Superdrug
  • Cult Beauty
  • Amazon

When you click a "Buy" or "View at retailer" link on any product page, that link is typically an affiliate link.

Does this affect our recommendations?

No. Our product listings, price comparisons, and ingredient analysis are not influenced by whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with a retailer. We display all available retailers for a product, including those we do not have affiliate partnerships with.

Our goal is to help you find the best price and make informed decisions. We will always show you the cheapest option, even if we earn less (or no) commission from that retailer.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links on SkinChecker are identified in the following ways:

  • Retailer links on product comparison pages are affiliate links where we have a partnership
  • Pages containing affiliate links display a disclosure notice near the top of the content area
  • Our site footer includes a note that we may earn commission from some retailer links

Social media and advertising standards

If we share affiliate links on social media platforms (such as Instagram Stories, Twitter, or Facebook), we clearly identify them using #ad in compliance with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines.

We believe in full transparency about our commercial relationships. For more information about how affiliate links work, you can visit Awin's explanation of affiliate marketing.

Cookies and tracking

When you click an affiliate link, a cookie may be placed on your device by the affiliate network (such as Awin). This cookie allows the retailer to attribute the sale back to SkinChecker. These cookies typically last for 30 days.

For more information about how we use cookies, please see our Privacy Policy.

Questions?

If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or this disclosure, please get in touch. We are happy to be transparent about how we fund SkinChecker.
