Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency about how SkinChecker earns revenue and what that means for you.

How affiliate links work
SkinChecker is a free skincare ingredient checker. To keep the site running, we participate in affiliate programmes with retailers. When you click a link to a retailer on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from that sale.
This commission comes from the retailer, not from you. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer's website.
Our affiliate partners
We currently participate in the Amazon Associates Programme. Each product page links to Amazon so you can check the latest price and availability. We plan to add more UK retailers through affiliate networks such as Awin over time.
When you click a "Search on Amazon" or "Buy" link on any product page, that link is typically an affiliate link.
Does this affect our ingredient analysis?
No. Our ingredient breakdowns are based on the product's published INCI list and are not influenced by whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with a retailer.
Our goal is to help you understand what's in a product and make informed decisions. As we add price comparison across more retailers, we will show you the available options so you can choose for yourself — even where we earn less (or no) commission.
How to identify affiliate links
Affiliate links on SkinChecker are identified in the following ways:
- Retailer links on product comparison pages are affiliate links where we have a partnership
- Pages containing affiliate links display a disclosure notice near the top of the content area
- Our site footer includes a note that we may earn commission from some retailer links
Social media and advertising standards
If we share affiliate links on social media platforms (such as Instagram Stories, Twitter, or Facebook), we clearly identify them using #ad in compliance with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines.
We believe in full transparency about our commercial relationships. For more information about how affiliate links work, you can visit Awin's explanation of affiliate marketing.
Cookies and tracking
When you click an affiliate link, a cookie may be placed on your device by the affiliate network (such as Awin). This cookie allows the retailer to attribute the sale back to SkinChecker. These cookies typically last for 30 days.
For more information about how we use cookies, please see our Privacy Policy.
