What about parabens, sulfates and mineral oil?
They are common worries, but almost every product we list already leaves them out: of 860 full ingredient lists, 804 have no parabens, 809 have no sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate, and 790 have no mineral oil or petrolatum.
Parabens are among the most studied preservatives and are considered safe at the levels used in skincare. Harsh sulfates mainly matter in cleansers, so our gentle cleansers leave them out. Mineral oil and petrolatum are highly refined in cosmetics and are good at sealing in moisture for very dry skin.
