Can you use salicylic acid and niacinamide together?
Yes — they work well together
Yes. They're often combined in products for oily and breakout-prone skin.
Why
Salicylic acid clears inside pores, while niacinamide helps with oil and redness and supports the skin barrier. There's no chemical conflict between them.
How to use them
- Salicylic acid first (or a salicylic acid cleanser), then niacinamide, then moisturiser.
- Start salicylic acid a few times a week and build up if your skin is comfortable.
